From 17 to 22 June, the 19th World Mountain Bike Championships takes place in Val di Sole. After Livigno in 2005 and Ciocco 1991, this is the third year that Italy hosts the World Championships.

Record numbers of riders have registered to compete in the World Championships. This includes more than 970 riders from 52 countries. This number includes 532 in Olympic cross-country, 261 downhill, and 96 in 4-cross. It’s interesting to note that participating countries include Serbia, Romania and Lichtenstein, Hong Kong, Thailand, Lichtenstein, Hong Kong, Lichtenstein, Lichtenstein, Lichtenstein, Hong Kong, and Thailand.

There will be more than 100 trials athletes present to compete for six titles in this exciting discipline.

The 2007 Mountain Bike World Championships at Fort William (Great Britain), attracted 715 participants representing 47 countries. Comparatively to previous years: Les Gets in France in 2004 with 794 riders from 44 countries; Livigno in Italy in 2005 with 702 riders from 47 nations; Rotorua in New Zealand in 2006 with 482 riders from 38 nations.

The Mountain Bike World Championships will be available for Internet viewers and television viewers. Thanks to the exceptional technical resources at their disposal, there are 22 cameras and one helicopter to cover the cross-country, 22 cameras to cover the downhill, and 14 cameras to cover the 4-Cross.

All of the top riders in the world have now confirmed their participation. The World Championships promises to be the best, judging by the incredible performances at this years Mountain Bike World Cup.
